Season 21 is the twenty first season of ETF2L's 6v6 competition, supported by Tt eSPORTS. Signups opened on April 20th, under a month after playoffs were over for ETF2L 6v6 Season 20. This season also comes at the height at news which has excited the competitive community, about Valve ^[1] giving support to the competitive scene occuring in Team Fortress 2 in the future, which would include working on patches of bugs that have heavily impacted both playing a game and casting game such as invisible players. This season also sees well known premiership players disperse from their teams and even from the premiership tier, a noteable example is well renowned 6v6 Medic, Mirelin, retiring from TF2^[2].
As with Season 20, admins had decided to push back the entire of Season 21 back a week due to reportedly only achieving 40% less signups than Season 20 in hopes of achieving higher numbers for the season.^[3]

A map poll had been posted to ask players to rate a potential of four maps, cp_granary, cp_granary_pro, cp_logjam and cp_metalworks, on a scale of 1-5.^[4] Despite cp_granary being initially chosen, it changed a day later to cp_granary_pro.^[5]

Pre-Season

Due to two too many teams having signed up for premiership division, last seasons lowest scoring Premiership team, LEGO, elder team, Revoluzion la metagame, and new team Wonderland will play matches to deterimine who stays and who will be relegated to the High division.^[6] Russian team, Lethal Weapon, however dropped from the competition before it had begun, allowing space for second place LEGO to join the Premiership tier once more.^[7]
