comp.tf MediaWiki Update June 2022

comp.tf plans to lock the database from 20 June 2022 to 26 June 2022 in order to update MediaWiki and Semantic MediaWiki. This will provide many quality of life changes to editors and readers. Users will be unable to edit pages but all pages will be viewable. corbt will be handling the upgrade, if you are a contributor and have any issues with the timing please contact them as the dates are flexible.

  • VisualEditor support to lower the barrier for new editors
  • Increased speed of Semantic MediaWiki
  • Countless bug fixes
  • Ability for new extensions
