Guide:Player Pages
HOW YOUR PLAYER PAGE SHOULD BE STRUCTURED
By Flatline
All player pages on comp.tf follow the same basic format:
Contents
The Player Infobox[edit]
Each page has a player infobox to give clear, concise information on the player. Each player infobox should have (at the least):
-Their alias
-An image
-Country of residence
-Format
-Class(es)
-Team(s)
-Achievements
-Steam/twitch/ESEA links
These are barebones and are all included in the documentation for the Player infobox.
The Overview[edit]
The overview should include the alias (enclosed by player's real name if available), bolded. It should list the player's class, followed by the team he currently plays for and (if any) noticeable past teams. After this, a short blurb about what the player is most known for will close out the overview.
The Biography[edit]
The biography section should include general personable information (birthplace, early life) as well as any information about the player's early involvement with video games or TF2/TFC/esports in general. It should end with how the player first got into TF2 (picked up by team X, started team Y, etc). This provides a good segue into the...
Comp History[edit]
This section should include a chronological timeline of the player's comp history, whether in TF2 or otherwise. Each game gets its own section and each team gets its own subsection.
Trivia[edit]
Any fun facts can be listed here, as long as they aren't giving away personal information or anything too embarrasing.
References[edit]
Where any references you made throughout the article go. Self-explanatory.
Categories[edit]
The categories go at the bottom of the page. Each player should have a category for:
-Their country
-Their class
-Them being a player (Category:Players)
Players may have alternate categories (example: having a picture taken by tagg, so we can properly credit him), but those are the main three.
