Chapelaria was a competitive community founded in late 2016 by Bagual and Danni, located in Brazil. It was created with the purpose of helping more casual players to join the competitive side of Team Fortress 2. The community used to host 6v6 and Highlander tournaments, casual, BBall and Ultiduo cups.

As the main purpose of the community is to integrate new and experienced players, a system was created to determine a player's skill when it comes to competitive experience. The setting at the moment relies on 3 levels of knowledge and playing skills combined.
 +
* Tier 1 - Players with advanced knowledge and skill on at least one class;
 +
* Tier 2 - Players with either considering knowledge or great skill (even a bit of both);
 +
* Tier 3 - Newcomers with either no competitive game sense or low playing skill.
 +
In the future the system will be improved to gather a larger range of classification so players can have their progress more visible as well for some matches to be more balanced.

Chapelaria's skill divisions were Gladiator and Legatus, for less experienced to more experienced players, respectively, which applied to almost all main tournaments the league developed through the seasons.
+
For its second season, Chapelaria created two divisions, Gladiator and Legatus. Gladiator has a tier restriction, where the maximum of Tier 1 players a team can have is 1 and the maximum of Tier 2 players is 2. The composition of Legatus teams is free.
That being said, Chapelaria had associated with FACEIT to organize all tournaments through FACEIT's platform, where the players could receive FACEIT points based on their final season ranking, and also based on their monthly position in the PUG hubs rankings.
+
Matches are played through 8 maps using the Swiss System. The number of rounds depends on how many teams register for the competition. The top teams go to the playoffs and fight in a double-elimination structure until the finals.

Chapelaria sticked to the following schema:

The names where chosen based on historical details of Ancient Rome; the gladiators were those who fought at the Coliseum for entertainment, while Legatus was the patent for the Roman army's general, experienced warriors selected due to their combat experience and knowledge.

For Stopwatch maps:
+
All players are welcome to join both divisions, as long as they are located in South America and have connection route to nearby servers so games can be played with minimum lag. For Gladiator, the players need to attend to the tier limit imposed to create some balancing and give the newcomers a change to play along experienced players.
* Single matches

* Match ends when a team secures the objective in lesser time

* No time limit

The points are attributed according to the match result plus the amount of rounds won by each team (winner and loser):

Couples got to play in a map per week in Round Robin system and later Single Elimination until the Grand Finals, where matches were played on a "Best of 3" system.
