<!--

MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS WHOLE THING: don't delete empty parameters. Copy paste that whole thing and leave in every single parameter. This is for new editors when they copy-paste the infobox from one map to another.

  • |name - shouldn't need to write anything here, the template uses the page's title
  • |image - again, template automatically gets the image for you. It uses <mapname>.jpg, if there is no image then a .jpg image should be uploaded
  • |caption - caption text

  • |maptype - write the appropriate abbreviation (e.g. 5cp)
  • |filename - e.g. cp_gullywash_final1 (MUST BE LATEST VERSION!)
  • |version - for explaining the end part of the file name. Should be properly capitalised. Most common things are:
    • a1 - Alpha 1
    • b1 - Beta 1
    • b3c - Beta 3.3 (count your fingers LUL)
    • rc1 - Release Candidate 1
    • (map is in final version) - Final
    • (map is official) - Official Release
  • |download - download in .bsp.bz2 format (e.g. cp_gullywash_final1.bsp.bz2). To find a download link, just Google "<mapname>.bsp.bz2" and it should come up with a bunch of map depositories. Use [1] if possible
  • |creator1 - Firstname "alias" Lastname. Usually if you Google search hard enough you can find the creator's full name.
  • |creator1steam - the SteamID64 bit part on the end of the creator's steam profile URL (e.g. 76561198044709648). Don't use their custom URL!. Typing the custom URL to a place like here should be able to give you the 64bit part.
  • |released - first release date of any version. For official maps this can be found on their Offical TF2 Wiki's "Update history" section (earliest date). Should be in the format of 3 November, 2009. Don't trust dates on gamebanana or TF2Maps because they're usually when the map was posted to the site, and can be years later. If you use the date on the creator's first post on the map's forum thread, it should be it (usually this'll be TF2maps.net).
  • |updated - last updated version. For most maps this can be found by when the map's thread was last edited. For official maps, use the Official TF2 Wiki's "Update history" section. However, don't include any updates that are purely bug fixes. The update should at least be changing a physical part of the map
  • |official - if it is official, just put a "1" here. Otherwise LEAVE BLANK

  • |gamemode1 - 4s, 6s, HL. Basically whatever is listed in the MapLeagueInclusionTable
  • |competitive - The map's pro version. E.g. for Badwater you'd put "Badwater Pro". Is case sensitive
  • |competitiveof - The inverse of the above, for Badwater Pro you'd put "Badwater"
  • |popularity - Type this lowercase. Can either be "staple" (e.g. Gullywash), "moderate" (e.g. Metalworks), "trial" (e.g. Reckoner), "obsolete" (e.g. any map that isn't in the current rotation), "never played" (self explanatory)
  • |lpleague - lastplayedleague. This is really annoying because sometimes you have to compare several league archives to find the latest season. Use the MapLeagueInclusionTables and find out which of those season's came last (in terms of literal dates). Once you find that out, type the league in here in a format of: ugc4s, ugc6s, etf2l6s, esea6s, ozf6s, af6s, ugchl, etf2lhl.
  • |lpseason - lastplayedseason. Just the number of the season corresponding to the above league
  • |lpdate - lastplayeddate. The date of when in the season the map was played. Should be to the exact week, not just the date of when the season started. In format "3 November, 2009"

  • |workshop - Steam workshop number at the end of the URL (e.g. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id='''528059824''' that part). Google "<mapname> steam workshop" (not the map's file name [e.g. "Gullywash"])
  • |tf2maps - TF2Maps number (e.g. http://tf2maps.net/threads/forge.'''25795''' that part, note that it's ONLY the number). Google "<mapname> steam workshop"
  • |gamebanana - gamebanana number (e.g. http://gamebanana.com/maps/'''101718''' that part). Google "<mapname> gamebanana"
  • |tftv - tftv number (I think you get the point, just paste the number part). Google "<mapname> teamfortress.tv" or search it up on tftv (which is the better option)
  • |etf2l - etf2l number. Google "<mapname> etf2l"
  • |ugc - ugc number. Don't Google this, go here
  • |officialwiki - Page name of the official wiki's entry. Note that the Official Wiki sometimes has entries for custom maps. Caps sensitive!
  • |officialwiki2 - Competitive entry for the official wiki. Are very rare, usually for default maps but there's a few for custom maps. Will be "<mapname>_(competitive)". Caps sensitive!

  • |footnotes - footnotes. you don't need this.
