Crowns eSports official t-shirt

Publiclir renamed to Crowns eSports Club on May 31st, 2016. The rebranding was announced by Heny, a Publiclir member of staff, with a tweet suggesting the company had not dropped the team, but rebranded.[1] Soon after, it was publicly stated that the change was due to their wish to divide the growing Publiclir community from the competitive teams.[2] On July 2016 Crowns acquired the nameLess roster intending to compete at Insomnia58.[3] The team won the event, beating Full Tilt in the grand final, and became the first European team to win an i-series event since Epsilon eSports won i49.

Shortly after the team won i58, Full Tilt's Thalash joined the roster, replacing Starkie as a flank scout who moved to the pocket scout role to replace Hafficool due to Hafficool's other commitments to Overwatch.[4]

Crowns eSports Club picked up NameLess after ETF2L Season 24.[3] The roster placed first at the event, defeating legends froyotech and European rivals Full Tilt.[5] During this event, Kaidus, who formed the original roster under Reason Gaming for ETF2L Season 20, acted as an in-game coach.[6]
