Publiclir renamed to Crowns eSports on May 31st, 2016. The rebranding was annunced by Heny, a Publiclir member of staff, with a tweet, suggested the company had perhaps not dropped the team, but rebranded.[1] Soon after the same Heny publicly stated that this change was due to their wish to divide the growing Publiclir community from the competitive teams and chose to move these to the newly started Crowns Esports Club.[2]
