What is bball?

Basketball or bball is a competitive format, to know more about it, visit our bball page on the wiki here.

Rules

  • No maximum sign-ups

Cup Format

  • Single-elimination
  • Bo1 until the semi-finals/finals (depending on the number of sign-ups) and Bo3 onwards

Cup Date

  • 8th December 2013 (Sunday) - Official match times to be decided depending on the number of sign ups.
  • Starting at 15:00 GMT (16:00 CET)

Sign Ups close

  • 6th December 2013 (Friday) at midnight

Rulesets, configs and maplist

  • Map: ctf_ballin_comptf (custom bball map for this cup)
  • Class limit: Only soldiers allowed
  • Settings: Winlimit 25, Timelimit 20
  • Config: etf2l_bball.cfg
  • Unlocks: Stock soldier weapons + reskins (“The Original” is allowed)

Special Rules

Team/Player Restrictions

  • This is a european cup, as such, only european teams will be eligible for the cup

Prizes

The prizepool is dependent on the number of sign-ups but the distribution will be as follows:

  • 1st Place: 60% of the prizepool
  • 2nd Place: 30% of the prizepool
  • 3rd Place: 10% of the prizepool

Sign-Up

The sign up price is 1 key per team, the key should be traded to the steam user below at the time of signup, we will also require your e-mail or challonge username to invite you to the cup, keep in mind the user invited to the cup on challonge will be the one updating the results from their matches.

You should also have in hand the steam profile links of both the players in your team and the desired team name.

To sign-up for this cup you should add Kaneco on steam.

Practice / Testing

If you're looking to test the map online, george set up a server for us running our map so feel free to join and maybe play some bball at:

Keep in mind this server is using the 2 secs respawn while the cup will use 6 secs respawn

Alternatively use the European Bball practice group on steam to find people to play against.

Brackets / Reporting results

Brackets to be announced on December 7th, they will be linked on this page.

To report the game results we will be using challonge, you will need a screen of your match, add it as an attachment to the respective match on our cup page on challonge and report the full result (ie 25-13, not 1-0). After that I will review the result submitted and approve it as soon as possible.
