Saloon.tf was a betting website that allowed users to 'bet' on the team they thought would win a competitive match. It was later acquired by Geel in October 2015.
On July 2, 2016, Saloon.tf, along with Sweetstakes.tf, it announced their permanent closure, which was enacted on August 6th, 2016.
Principle
If you bet on a team that later won, you would get back your bet and additional items in proportion to how much you bet. If you bet on the losing team, you would get nothing back. You could only bet four items at a time and you have one entry per match.
Allowed Items
Genuine items, vintage items and unique cosmetics items were allowed to be bet along with keys, paint cans and metals higher than one refined. Items worth more than earbuds were not allowed.
