Ready Steady Pan, a form of 6v6, is a type of competitive Team Fortress format. The basic requirement is for every player to have a Frying Pan equipped. Classes that cannot equip the pan are banned, i.e.: Engineer and Spy, alongside Heavy and Medic for their high health and health regeneration abilities respectively.
Format
Ready Steady Pan is a competitive format with six players on each team. It is similar to a standard 6v6 game but the only weapon that can be used to deal damage is the Frying Pan. Other "food" items and "jumper" weapons are also allowed. The Machina is allowed as it can only be fired if scoped in, which can be used to prevent miss-fires. A full list of whitelisted weapons is listed below:
- Bonk! Atomic Punch
- Crit-A-Cola
- Mad Milk
- Rocket Jumper
- Sticky Jumper
- Gunboats
- The Bootlegger
- Ali Baba’s Wee Booties
- Machina
- Jarate
- Razorback
- Darwin’s Danger Shield
- Frying Pan
Class limits are enforced as follows:
- 2 Scouts
- 2 Soldiers
- 2 Pyros
- 2 Demomen
- 0 Heavies
- 0 Engineers
- 0 Medics
- 1 Sniper
- 0 Spies
Ready Steady Pan is run and organised by the Ready Steady Pan Team, a round-table group of volunteers from around the world. So far, Season 3 of the tournament has been significantly delayed, but a vague start time of "Early 2017" has been given.
