I think we should use the koth_pro_viaduct template for map pages. It gives a good calls section and generally can tell you a lot of info in a short time. Flatline (talk) 21:41, 2 July 2013 (WEST)

Proposal: Map Pages Move

Alright, we all know that MediaWiki hates lowercase letters and underscores, both of which are prevalent in map names. I would like to propose that we move all maps to the common/proper name for the map (e.g. "Badlands" for cp_badlands, "Viaduct" for koth_viaduct).

I talked with Kaneco about this earlier and he brought up the point of the many different versions of maps, especially that of pro vs. normal versions. For that case, I would propose that the article itself has a section describing the differences between the pro and normal versions - there's not really enough to justify the two versions having separate pages when they're pretty similar.

Obviously this will require some time and effort to complete successfully, but I wouldn't mind putting that in. I'd like some feedback, though, before I commit to doing such a major change. Thesupremecommander (talk) 04:45, 25 August 2013 (WEST)

Hmmm. Well I don't think we really need two pages for normal and pro versions so a short little section would be nice. +1 on that. Moving the maps to just the common names though? ehh. I know that we don't have a pages for koth_ashville and cp_ashville but we should get those at some point and then what would we do? That is something that would have to be hashed out. Honestly using the DISPLAYTITLE thingy would be the easiest solution imo. That being said redirects based for just the map names should exist at the very least. Merchant (talk)
