DreamHack Summer 2016 will commence on 18 June 2016 and conclude the following day. The tournament will be held in a double-elimination format with all matches played in a best of three, except for the grand final which will be played in a best of five.

Participants
The participating teams were announced June 5, 2016. SUAVE and Serpents, winners of qualifier 2 and qualifier 4 respectively, were both unable to attend the event. Comfortably Spanked and Crowns eSports Club were invited to the event in their places.[1]
Differences from ETF2L 6v6 Season 24 roster
Only nameLess will be competing with the same lineup as used in the concurrent ETF2L 6v6 Season 24.[2] Both Crowns eSports Club and Perilous Gaming will be using backup players from their roster,[3][4] while Comfortably Spanked have subbed in Setlet from PC MASTER RACE for the event.[5]
