BBall, is a competitive format in Team Fortress 2, it is played usually with teams of 2 players, the only class allowed being soldier. It is a gameplay modification for the game played on maps that have been purposely created or altered for the game mode. The mod focuses on allowing individuals to practice their rocket jumping and air shooting skills.
It is considered a great source of movement and aim practice, as such, it is often highly regarded amongst high level players.

The gamemode is possible due to custom maps made by the community. There are lots of different BBall maps created by the community; but the most popular ones are Ballin Sky and BBall CompTF. The maps work as a normal CTF map would in the sense that there's an intelligence and to capture the intel you must take it to the enemies hoop.
Ruleset
While the ruleset is almost identical worldwide, generally with a 20 minutes time limit and a 25 capture limit, North American bball is very different from European bball because of the respawn time. While in europe the normal 6 seconds respawn time is commonplace, in North America bball is usually played with a custom 2 seconds respawn time which promotes a more fast paced and agressive gameplay.
Tournaments
As this format is very straight forward and composed of teams of 2 players only, cups and tournaments are very often organized, mainly on offseason as practise for the 6v6 seasons.
