Control Points (or 5cp) is the most commonly seen gamemode of any competitive 6v6 league. All 5cp maps are symmetrical, with a distinct blue and red side. A game starts with both teams owning their respective first two points, and a grey midpoint that signifies that neither team has captured it. To win, a team must capture every control point. And the further away from the midpoint you travel, the faster the point caps, which allows for "backcap" wins, when a player hides at his enemy's last point, waits for them to leave, and captures while they are away.
