Arena a pub gamemode that each player is allowed to play whatever class they want the only real difference from pubs is the map set and the fact that once you die you will not respawn until the end of the round .There is another iteration of the arena gamemode called Arena respawn that has gotten a lot of attention on the EXtV youtube channel it is basically the same as Arena but with the difference that when you cap the point everyone dead on your team will respawn

Arena a game mode where the goal is to either kill the entire enemy team or to cap the mid control point. There are no respawns in the arena game mode. At no point has Arena been run in competitive, at this time. This is at least partially due to the inevitable turtling nature and boring gameplay that develops from arena mode.
